Tesla’s latest “Holiday Update” brings a few eagerly anticipated new features, such as Apple Music support and the ability to play games from Steam in your car. Here is everything about Tesla new software update.
Tesla new software update about the Steam game
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, tweeted in July that the company was “making progress” with Steam integration, so the official addition of Steam shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to owners who already have access to games like Cuphead and Stardew Valley. Owners may now have access to much more fun due to the arrival of Steam for Tesla.
Steam offers a vast selection of games
Tesla claims that the “new” Model S and X vehicles will support Steam. Even though the description is a little hazy, it seems likely to apply to the “Plaid” versions of those cars, which have a discrete AMD RDNA 2 GPU and an AMD Ryzen processor. Tesla’s promotional video heavily features Cyberpunk 2077, though we’ll have to wait and see which games work the best. (Tesla has utilized Cyberpunk 2077 in its marketing efforts before.) the company claims Steam brings “thousands” of games to its cars.
About Tesla car Apple music update
Tesla new software update about Apple music is here. Tesla cars are also getting Apple Music and other popular apps like Steam. The app is reportedly rolling out as part of an official Tesla release after appearing in a Model S in a museum exhibit last month.
There is also a tonne of other features in the Holiday Update. A more advanced light show mode lets you plan a show that will play simultaneously on several vehicles. To demonstrate it, the company released a pretty ridiculous video:
While in Dog Mode or Sentry Mode, you can view the inside of the car on the Tesla app and make Zoom calls from the cabin camera. The update, officially designated 2022.44.25, is currently being distributed.
Tesla new software update Integration Apple Music
Tesla has long talked about including a few other popular services, such as Apple Music and Amazon Music, but it has yet to come of it. The tech giant has been seen using the Apple Music app on its internal vehicles, so Tesla owners could soon have access to the service.
It’s interesting to note that the information came from visitors to the Petersen Museum. This Los Angeles auto museum currently hosts an exhibit in collaboration with Tesla that features several prototype cars, including the Roadster and Cybertruck.
Spatial Audio
Recently, Apple revealed that some vehicles would support Spatial Audio with Apple Music. Apple Music also supports lossless audio for various musical genres in addition to spatial audio. According to Apple, these features produce “true multidimensional sound and clarity” and an immersive audio experience.
What is Steam?
Steam is a digital distribution platform for video gamers and game developers. The platform initially catered to PC games and quickly expanded its reach to include home video game consoles like the Xbox and Sony PlayStation. Steam allows users to sign in and conveniently buy and play games online, an improved alternative to purchasing physical copies and manually downloading them on a computer.
